Godafoss Waterfall

I made this painting from a picture that my brother took during a trip to Iceland.  I was impressed by the vista of the picture, but the color scheme left much to be desired.  There was no issue with the picture's quality, but the visual conditions were so drab that the image came out looking practically monochromatic.  So I took it upon myself to give the scene some much deserved color.  The main thing I wanted to depict was a cool scene with hints of warmth from a revealed sun.  Thus the cool aspects were depicted with purples and blues in the snow on land, and a blueish green in the water.
